Receive comments from the public regarding the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The CAPER is a report on the City’s utilization of the Entitlement Funds in the amount of $333,755.00 for the period of April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.

Receive comments from the public and consider First Reading of an ordinance to rezone approximately 4.07-acres of property from Residential-6 (R-6) to Planned Development (PD-26-02). The property is located at 609 West Oakland Avenue and is identified by Tap Map Numbers 228-14-07-002, 228-14-07-014, 228-14-07-015, 228-14-07-016, 228-14-07-017, 228-14-07-019, 228-14-07-020, and 228-14-07-022.

 

Receive comments from the public on the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.

Consider appointments set to expire June 30, 2026, and other vacancies.

Receive an updated draft for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.

Consider Resolution Number 1028 authorizing a contract for storm drain repair on Wactor Street.

Consider Resolution Number 1029 authorizing a contract for sanitary lining in downtown Sumter. 

Receive comments from Councilmembers concerning matters of interest to the Council and the City of Sumter.

Receive comments and/or reports from the City Manager.

Citizens of the City desiring to speak must notify the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting by completing the sign-in sheet located at the entrance to the Council Chambers. Comments are limited to no more than three (3) minutes.

To discuss contractual matters, personnel matters, and appointments to Boards and Commissions, and/or to receive legal advice relating to matters covered by attorney-client privilege, if necessary, in accordance with Section 30-4-70 of the South Carolina Code of Laws.

The public is hereby notified that if Sumter City Council holds an Executive Session, the Council may take official action on the above-listed matters following the conclusion of the Executive Session.
