Receive an informational presentation from Santee Lynches Volunteer Ombudsman regarding National Volunteer Week, April 19-25, 2026.

Recognize the Bates Middle School Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball Teams for their achievements as the 2026 Sumter County Middle School Conference Champions.

Recognize the Ragin Preparatory Christian Academy Boys’ Basketball Team for their achievement as the 2026 SCISA 1A Basketball State Champions.

Consider appointments due to expire on December 31, 2025, and other vacancies.

Receive an updated draft for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.

Consider Final Reading of Ordinance Number 2903 amending certain fees and charges of the City of Sumter, including water and sewer rates.

a)  Consider Final Reading of Ordinance Number 2904 authorizing the sale of certain city-owned properties acquired through the Neighborhood Improvement Program.

b)  Consider Final Reading of Ordinance Number 2905 authorizing the sale of certain city-owned properties.

Consider First Reading of an ordinance to amend the Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Budget for Fiscal year 2026-2027. 

US 15 SOUTH POCOTALIGO BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

Consider Resolution Number 1027 authorizing the construction and improvements for the US 15 southbound Pocotaligo Bridge Replacement. 

Receive comments from Councilmembers concerning matters of interest to the Council and the City of Sumter.

Receive comments and/or reports from the City Manager.

Citizens of the City desiring to speak must notify the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting by completing the sign-in sheet located at the entrance to the Council Chambers. Comments are limited to no more than three (3) minutes.

To discuss contractual matters, personnel matters, and appointments to Boards and Commissions, and/or to receive legal advice relating to matters covered by attorney-client privilege, if necessary, in accordance with Section 30-4-70 of the South Carolina Code of Laws.

The public is hereby notified that if Sumter City Council holds an Executive Session, the Council may take official action on the above-listed matters following the conclusion of the Executive Session.
