Consider appointments expired June 30, 2025, and other vacancies.

 

Consider First Reading of an ordinance to rezone two parcels of land totaling approximately 1.85 acres from Agricultural Conservation (AC) to Residential-6 (R-6). The properties are located at 1445 Camden Highway and are identified by Tax Map Numbers 202-00-03-014 and 

202-00-03-021).

Consider Final Reading of Ordinance Number 2886 authorizing the transfer of title by deed for certain real property owned by the City of Sumter to Sumter Opera House, LLC. The property is located at 17 North Main Street (formerly 15 and 17 North Main Street) and identified by Tax Map Number 228-12-05-010. 

Consider First Reading of an ordinance to amend City Code Chapter 22 (“Businesses”), Article II (“Licenses”) to add various provisions, including provisions relating to registration of certain charitable organizations, conditions on business licenses, provisional business licenses, and grounds for denial or suspension or revocation of business licenses.

Consider Resolution Number 995 authorizing a contract for the Broad Street Waterline Relocation 2025 Project.

Consider Resolution Number 996 authorizing Fire Department Personal Protective Equipment Purchase. 

Consider Resolution Number 997 amending Resolution Number 975 which authorized the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages (beer and wine only) at several annual events. 

Receive comments from Councilmembers concerning matters of interest to the Council and the City of Sumter. 

Receive comments and/or reports from the City Manager. 

Review any pending legislation pertinent to local government. 

To discuss contractual matters related to the sale of City-owned property, appointments to Boards and Commissions, and/or to receive legal advice relating to matters covered by attorney-client privilege, if necessary, in accordance with Section 30-4-70 of the South Carolina Code of Laws. 

 

The public is hereby notified that if Sumter City Council holds an Executive Session, the Council may take official action on the above-listed matters following the conclusion of the Executive Session.
